LEVEL 1 Certification

CERTIFIED ADVANCED ORTHOGONIST (LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATION)

This certification ensures that the Doctor has met the minimum requirements to deliver Advanced Orthogonal Care proficiently. The Doctor has demonstrated a solid understanding of the Advanced Orthogonal Fundamentals, can work around slightly difficult scenarios, and can guide a patient through basic patient care. 


The applicant will be assigned two Reviewers to evaluate their Examination, training requirements, and Post X-ray Analysis Reports.  The two reviewers will be from separate clinics.  Upon completion of the requirements, the applicant will be acknowledged as a Certified Advanced Orthogonist and issued their certificate by the Certification Board.


INITIAL LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Compete one of the following:
  • Fundamentals 1­-3 and one Advanced Seminar
  • Advanced Orthogonal Bootcamp and one Advanced Seminar
  • Fundamentals 1-3 and Bootcamp
  • Advanced Orthogonal Internship and one Advanced Seminar
  • Technique Transition Seminar and one Advanced Seminar
  • Advanced Orthogonal Elective (in a Chiropractic College) and one Advanced Seminar
  • Pass the Advanced Orthogonal Basic ExaminationSubmit 2 Post X-ray Analysis Reports* (include HIPAA form)


MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS (FOR ACTIVE STATUS)

  • Attend 1 Advanced Seminar per Year


APPLICATION FEE

The application fee for Level 1 Certification is $400


FAILED EXAMS

If the Applicant fails the Advanced Orthogonal Basic Examination, they may retake that exam no sooner than one month and no later than 12 months from the date of the failed exam.  If the applicant fails a second time, the application process must be repeated.


STUDENT CERTIFICATION

Chiropractic students can apply for Level 1 Certification, take the Advanced Orthogonal Basic Examination, and submit the Post X-ray Analysis Reports to their Reviewers.  If all requirements are met, the student will be placed in a pending status until they submit a copy of their Doctorate of Chiropractic diploma to the Certification Board, at which time their certificate will be issued.

*The Post X-ray Analysis Report includes a set of Pre and Post X-rays that were taken by, analyzes by, and adjusted (without assistance) by the applicant with a detailed written explanation as to that changes that occurred in the alignment from the adjustment and what, if any, modifications need to be made in the table placement, instrument vector, or stylus position in the next adjustment.  At least one of the cases that are submitted must have at least one analysis factor that did not reduce or increased.
